Smoke Free Campus

At Samarkand State Medical University, we prioritize the health and wellbeing of our entire university community. As part of our commitment to promoting a healthy environment, the university has implemented a smoke-free” policy across all campus facilities. This policy is designed to ensure that students, staff, and visitors can enjoy a clean and healthy atmosphere, free from the harmful effects of tobacco smoke.

Key Features of Our Smoke-Free Policy:

Smoke-Free Campus Zones: Smoking is strictly prohibited in all indoor and outdoor areas of the university, including lecture halls, dormitories, administrative buildings, recreational areas, and campus walkways. The entire campus is designated as a smoke-free zone.

Promoting Health and Wellbeing: The smoke-free policy reflects our commitment to fostering a healthier campus culture. By reducing exposure to secondhand smoke, we are helping to prevent respiratory issues and other health risks associated with smoking, ensuring a safer and more welcoming environment for everyone.

Supporting Smoking Cessation: We understand that quitting smoking can be challenging, and we support our students and staff in their journey toward healthier habits. The university offers access to smoking cessation programs, including counseling and educational resources, to help individuals who wish to quit smoking.

Enforcement of the Policy: Our smoke-free policy is enforced across the entire campus. Signage is posted in prominent locations to remind everyone of the rules, and our security and administrative staff work to ensure compliance. We encourage everyone to respect the policy for the benefit of the entire university community.

  Why a Smoke-Free Policy?
