Caring for the young generation, striving to educate a healthy, well-rounded person is one of the characteristics of the national character of the Uzbek people. Therefore, spiritual and educational work is the most important direction of the activity of the Department of Physical Education and Sports. In the department, spiritual and educational work is carried out on the basis of an approved plan. This work is coordinated and organized by the responsible teacher Q.N. Sattarov.

    In the department, professors and teachers conduct work among students:

• They introduce the works and speeches of President Sh.M.Mirziyoyev, the decrees and decisions of the Oliy Majlis and the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as spiritual and educational work in order to raise a mature generation, increase and improve the universal, national and spiritual outlook of young people. leads to:
• successful implementation and development of creative reforms in the republic;
• formation of a healthy lifestyle philosophy among students;
• increase political and legal culture among students;
• timely delivery of information to students about social, political and creative events happening in the world and in the country;
• formation of a healthy spiritual environment among students;
• organization of free time of students in accordance with the direction and specialization of the educational institution, organization of various clubs;

    In order to meaningfully organize the time of the students studying at the university, in order to meaningfully organize their time, the department has organized 6 sports clubs, they are volleyball, basketball, football, chess, table tennis, badminton.

    The team of the department has been contributing to sports tournaments, student spartakiades, events dedicated to the memory of famous people who worked at the university, as well as traditional events reflecting our historical dates and national values.

    On August 16-31, 2023, in Yekaterinburg of the Russian Federation, our students took an honorable 5th place in the sports competition of the "International Sports Festival" in the field of badminton. 

    For example, at the "Universiade-2022" student-youth sports competition held in Tashkent, Shermukhammedova Kohira, a student of the university, won the proud 3rd place in the competition of the Walk of Sports category.

    In addition, among the youth of the republic "Universiade-2022" Samarkand team won 2nd place in basketball sport, 2nd place in badminton team (Kubaev Khabib, Amina Sanjarova), Rugby sport won 2 places of pride in the team (Shermukhammedova Kohira, Badriddinov Jalal). He took the 2nd place in the regional final stage of the "Chessboard" sports competition and won the prize for the national final stage.
