Abdullaeva Nargiza Nurmatovna was born on 02.10.1975 in Samarkand. In 1997 she graduated from the medical faculty of the Samarkand State Medical Institute. After completing a clinical residency in specialty "Nervous diseases", from 1999 to 2004 she had been working as a resident at the neurology department of Samarkand State Medical Institute’s clinic. In 2004, she defended her thesis for the degree of candidate of medical sciences (PhD) on "Clinical and pathogenetic characteristics and issues of epilepsy against iodine deficiency pathology. From 2004 to 2007, she was as an assistant at the Department of Neurology at Samarkand State Medical Institute. In 2008 she was awarded the title of associate professor. From 2008 to 2019 she had been working as an associate professor at the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery of the Samarkand State Medical Institute.
In 2010 Nargiza Nurmatovna was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Higher Nursing at Samarkand State Medical Institute.
In 2016 she defended her doctoral dissertation (DSc) on "Epilepsy and epileptic paroxysms in old and elder ages. Etio-pathogenetic structure and treatment issues".
Nargiza Nurmatovna is simultaneously a chief doctor at the multi-disciplinary clinic at SamSMU, a member of the Board of Health of the region, a member of monothematic commission on "Neurology", "Paediatric neurology", "Medical genetics" at the Council of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Uzbekistan, and also a specialized council of neurologists at the Tashkent Institute for Advanced Medical Training. She is a member of the “Milliy Tiklanish” Democratic Party.
The principal activities of the Vice-Rector for therapeutic work are:
- control over the volume and quality of implementation of therapeutic work by the staff of clinical departments, interaction with clinical bases, development of methodological recommendations and their implementation in the therapeutic process;
- Organisation of implementation of orders, instructions and directives of relevant superior organisations, decisions of the Academic Council and orders of the Rector of Samarkand State Medical University, concerning the therapeutic work, etc.
