DEPARTMENT OF MARKETING AND STUDENT PRACTICES
It is an independent structure of Samarkand State Medical University and directly reports to the rector of the institute. In 1998, based on the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the "Department of Marketing Service" was established.
"Department of Marketing Service" of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 12, 2021 No. 2859-3 of the Republic of Uzbekistan "Example of management, technical, service and educational support staff of higher educational institutions According to the decision on changes and additions to the staff, the Department of Order Portfolio Formation, Graduate Employment and Monitoring Department was changed to the Department of "Marketing and Student Practice Department".
The activities of the Department of Marketing and Student Practice are determined by the "Law on Education", the "National Program of Personnel Training" and other normative documents. It is a part of the multi-level structure of higher medical education, and its task is aimed at training highly qualified specialists for independent work in healthcare institutions.
HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT
At Samarkand State Medical University, the Department of Order Portfolio Formation, Graduate Employment and Monitoring (Department of Marketing Service) was established in 1998, and during this period the following worked as the head of marketing:

From March 2023, Erkayev Akbar Ro`zimurodovich was appointed as the head of the Department of Marketing and Student Practice (formation of portfolio of orders, distribution of graduates to work and monitoring department).
OBJECTIVES AND FUNCTIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT
Market-driven training and education prepares undergraduate, graduate, and clinical residency programs for future employment.
Creates a database of new jobs (vacancies) and employers in healthcare and other applied fields.
Forms a portfolio of orders on the availability of graduates, draws up and prepares contracts for employment. Provides employment to graduates and conducts their monitoring, maintains personal contact with them.
SamDTU distributes information about study opportunities in bachelor's, master's, and clinical residency programs, concludes contracts with students, and conducts explanatory work for them. In order to carry out the practice, it creates databases of leading medical clinics and concludes contracts.
