HISTORY
The medical school, at the Samarkand Medical Institute, was established on the basis of the Decree No. 307-r of the Central Committee of the Uzbek SSR and the Council of Ministers of April 23, 1982 and on the basis of the order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 934 of June 28, 1982. at the address Samarkand city, Dagbitskaya street/31. Ikram Akhmedovich Makhmudov was appointed director of the Samarkand Medical School No. 2. During this period, 150 students were accepted for training in the specialty "Nursing".
The educational process was carried out by doctors and nurses working in the following medical institutions of Samarkand: 1st polyclinic of SamMI, 2nd polyclinic (currently RSHTTIoIMSF), infectious diseases, 3rd maternity hospital, regional hospital. Teachers who worked during this period: S. Zaidinov, P. Safarov, R. Esanboeva, K. Mukhamadieva.
According to the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 338 dated August 14, 2001 and the order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 572 dated December 29, 2003, the medical school was given the status.
In 1989-2005, Khodzhi Khodievich Khodiyev worked as the director of the Siab Medical College. During his career, he was a talented teacher and published about 45 scientific papers in newspapers and magazines. He was awarded diplomas of the Ministry of Health, Samarkand regional, city and Siab district khokimiyats.
In 2005-2008, Olim Narzikulovich Razzokov worked as the director of the Siab Medical College. During his career, he earned the title of an experienced teacher and published about 100 scientific papers in the press.
In 2008-2010, Davirov Abduraim Ablakulovich was a responsible, inquisitive leader; during his career, about 30 scientific papers were published in the press. Awarded with honorary diplomas of the Samarkand regional and city khokimiyats.
In 2012-2016 Zhamolov Anvar Kuchkarovich worked as the director of the Siab Medical College. He is an experienced teacher and has published about 80 scientific papers in his career. He was awarded the honorary title of "Excellent Health Worker of the Republic of Uzbekistan", was awarded diplomas of the Samarkand regional and city khokimiyats.
Based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 7, 2020 PQ-4666 “On measures to introduce a completely new system of training and continuous professional development of personnel in the medical and sanitary field”, it was reorganized into the Siab Medical College of Public Health named after Abu Ali ibn Sina.
Over the past forty years, thousands of students have graduated from this educational institution in various fields and work in medical institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan and beyond.

EDUCATIONAL AND METHODOLOGICAL WORK
At the Siab Medical College of Public Health named after Abu Ali ibn Sina, specialists are trained in 5 areas: nursing, feldsher-midwifery, laboratory assistant, pharmacy, medical and preventive medical assistant
The educational process is conducted on the basis of the following approved documents for each course and direction: Qualification requirements, Sample Curriculum, Sample Curriculum, Working curriculum, Working curriculum, Calendar-thematic plan
The following technical means are available in the learning process: videos, presentations, multimedia programs. Lecture and practical training materials are demonstrated using TVs and projectors. There is a single bank of scanned images designed for a single training based on the curriculum and corresponding to all sections of the curriculum.
To organize high-quality practical classes in special subjects, 6 training classrooms and 2 laboratories have been created at the technical school. These teaching and laboratory rooms are equipped in accordance with the equipment standard set by the Ministry of Health and 90-98% of the qualification requirements can be mastered in them.

Computers in the technical library are connected to the World Wide Web, there is an electronic collection of books. In addition, students have the opportunity to use the electronic literature of SamMU virtual library.
SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH WORKS
Over the past 3 years, the leading teachers of the technical school have published more than 250 scientific papers, including 1 textbook, 27 manuals, 5 monographs, more than 200 articles in leading domestic and foreign journals. Most teachers of the technical school are actively engaged in scientific research. Currently 4 employees are independent researchers.
STUDENT SCIENTIFIC SOCIETY
A student scientific club has been created at the technical school. Its participants, researchers, take part in scientific conferences.
At the 76th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Medical Students and Young Scientists "Achievements in the field of fundamental, applied medicine and pharmacy", held in May 2022, Isaeva Gulandon Abunabi kizi took 1st place Diploma, Bahronova Marjona Ziyodullaevna received 2nd place Diploma, Fazliddinova Sitora Shavkat kizi and Rakhimova Mehribon Azzamovna were awarded the Diploma of the III degree.

In the Siab Medical College of Public Health named after Abu Ali ibn Sina, spiritual and educational events are regularly held aimed at improving the spiritual environment, educating students in the spirit of patriotism, religious tolerance, strengthening their sense of loyalty to national values. Teachers and students actively participate and win prizes in city, regional, republican and international stages of competitions organized in the spiritual, educational and sports fields. For example, Olimova Durdona Olim kizi, who studied in the specialty "Pharmacy", was the winner of the state award "Zulfiya". The team of the Siyobi Medical College took 1st place in the republican stage of the “Do you know the law” competition dedicated to the Constitution Day on December 8. At the Paralympics Reo-2016, held in Brazil, physical education teacher Nigmatov Utkir won a gold medal in judo.
