Teachers of the course "Medical and biological physics, medical technology and new technologies" together with the SSU, the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Physics-Sun Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Tashkent State Medical Institute conduct scientific research.
On May 28, 2005, the staff of the Department of Medical and Biological Physics held a scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Department of Physics on the eve of the Year of Health and the 75th anniversary of the Samarkand Medical Institute.
April 29, 2008 teacher Usarov A.A. successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis on "Mechanisms of the formation of light mirror nuclei 3H and 3He in 16Op collisions at a momentum of 3.25 A GeV / c".
The faculty of the department has published over 450 scientific publications.
Head of the department, associate professor Uraqov Sh.U.
