On December 19, 2024, a scientific and practical seminar and round table on the topic "Treatment of neurosurgical diseases of the brain using stereotactic radiosurgery" were held at the specialized scientific and practical center for neurosurgery and neurorehabilitation at Samarkand State Medical University, which has been cooperating with one of the leading clinics in Turkey, the Acibadem clinic network, for several years. The scientific events were attended by the leading specialist of the neurosurgical department of Acibadem Altunizade Hospital in Istanbul, Professor Koray Ozduman, employees of the scientific and practical center for neurosurgery and neurorehabilitation and university students. 

  During the round table, Professor Koray Ozduman spoke in detail about diseases in neurosurgery that can be treated using stereotactic radiosurgery, the features, application, advantages, indications and contraindications for Gamma Knife operations. Then PhD, Associate Professor M.A.Aliyev presented the results of treating patients using Gamma Knife and Cyber-Knife devices at the Scientific and Practical Center for Neurosurgery and Neurorehabilitation, emphasizing the advantages of this treatment method. At the end of the classes, the participants received comprehensive answers to their questions.

  More than 50 medical specialists took part in the event.
