On February 25, a delegation headed by Ms. Nikki Leila Hafezi, a member of the Board of Directors of the MESCA Foundation (Medicine and Education for Central Asia), an ophthalmology specialist and entrepreneur, visited Samarkand State Medical University.

  As part of the visit, a meeting was held with the rector of the university, Professor Jasur Rizayev, during which issues of mutual cooperation were discussed. In particular, attention was paid to the organization of future ophthalmological screenings and a student symposium on ophthalmology, the implementation of a number of joint projects, as well as further development of cooperation with the MESCA and Light For Sight (fight against keratoconus in children and adolescents) foundations.
