On December 22, 2015, at the 70th session of the UN General Assembly, February 11 was announced as the International Day of Women and Girls in the Field of Science, and it is widely celebrated in our country.

  In this regard, a scientific and practical conference was held at Samarkand State Medical University under the slogan "SCIENTIFIC WOMAN - THE MIRROR OF SOCIETY" on the topic "INNOVATIVE APPROACHES, ACHIEVEMENTS, PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS IN MEDICINE AND PHARMACY".

  It was attended by the chief specialist of the regional government's "Family and Women's Department"  O. Abdumuinova, members of the university's women's advisory council, dean's advisers, professors, clinical ordinators, researchers.

  At the conference, legal documents adopted to increase the role of women in society and its development in our independent and new Uzbekistan, a number of social benefits and developed measures, achievements and new innovations in medicine and pharmacy, research, lectures on problems and solutions were heard. And at the seminar, scientifically based presentations were held, and discussions were followed by interesting questions and answers.
