With the onset of the heating season, the demand for heat sources and heating equipment increases among the population. Some citizens allow the use of faulty or unusable heating devices and chimneys. This, in turn, can become a factor leading to fire and carbon monoxide poisoning.
In this regard, comprehensive measures are being implemented throughout the republic to ensure fire safety and prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. In particular, from November 15 to December 15 of this year, the "Fire Safety Month" has been declared throughout our republic.
Today, a meeting with employees and students dedicated to fire safety prevention was organized at the Samarkand State Medical University with the participation of representatives of the Samarkand Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Lieutenant Colonel U. Akhrorov spoke at the event, giving a detailed account of the measures being taken and advice on the reasonable use of heating systems in student dormitories and rented apartments, as well as on not using homemade heating systems. During the event, representatives of the Samarkand Regional Emergency Management Department also held a demonstration master class on organizing fire extinguishing.
