The delegation of Samarkand State Medical University consisting of the Dean of the Faculty of Joint Training D.Sh. Abdurakhmanov and the Head of the Department of Surgery, Endoscopy, Anesthesiology and Reanimatology N.A. Kurbanov visited Vitebsk Medical University (Republic of Belarus).

  Within the framework of the visit a meeting with the Rector of Vitebsk State Medical University Prof. A.N. Chukvnov was held, where agreements were reached on the opening of joint courses for postgraduate education.

  Also within the framework of academic mobility lectures on abdominal surgery were held for the students of the 4th and 5th years of the University.

  Besides, the delegation of SamSMU held meetings with the Rector of the Belarusian State Medical University Prof. S.P. Rubnikovich and the Vice-Rector for International Relations of the Belarusian State Medical University Prof. V.V. Rudenk. Rudenk during which they discussed joint training of personnel through clinical residency and advanced training courses in such specialties as transplantology, plastic surgery, X-ray endovascular surgery, cardiac surgery, cardiac resuscitation, arrhythmology, functional echocardiodiagnostics in the new academic year.
