17 employees work at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1 of the Faculty of Medicine No. 2. All employees of the department take an active part in the research work of the department and the university. Currently, 1 applicant for the scientific degree of DSc (Eltazarova G.Sh., supervisor - Khudoyarova D.R.), 1 basic doctoral student PhD (Akhtamova N.A.) and 6 employees-independent applicants are conducting their research activities at the department (Kurbaniyazova V.E., Tilyavova S.A., Ibragimov B.F., Kamalova D.D., Khasanova D.A., Akhtamova O.F., Shavkatova G.Sh.).
The research work of the department is carried out on the education of the younger generation in the spirit of independence, the formation of the legal culture of youth, the philosophical problems of modern medical science, various aspects of the history of the statehood of Uzbekistan.
Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1 under the leadership of the head of the department attaches great importance to research work. Employees of the department improve their knowledge and potential by conducting regular scientific work.
Over the past 5 years, the staff of the department has published more than 300 scientific papers, including 3 textbooks, 5 monographs, 13 electronic programs, more than 100 articles in leading domestic and foreign journals. In addition, about 20 teaching aids and guidelines have been published. Textbooks, teaching aids and guidelines published by the staff of the department are used as additional literature for students of medical universities.
Employees of the department actively participate in many national and foreign conferences and seminars with reports and theses.
The department attaches great importance to the scientific activity of not only employees, but also students. Under the guidance of the staff of the department, students write articles in national and international journals, participate in prestigious conferences and seminars. Gifted students of the department have repeatedly participated in scientific Olympiads of the Republic of Uzbekistan and occupied places of honor. In addition, students participated not only in republican, but also in international foreign scientific Olympiads, occupied prestigious places and were awarded diplomas. Among talented students, the following can be noted: Kobilova Z.A., Danabaeva Z.Zh., Khaidarova R.S., Amanbaeva F.B., Zubaydullaeva Z., Shopulotov Sh.A., Isametdinova U.Z., Abdullaeva N. E.
