Professors and teachers of the department monitor chemical reactions in the body for early detection of diseases, develop various methods and devices for non-invasive management in the detection of certain clinical conditions, obtain necessary products for industry using local raw materials, briquetting in the coal industry, O' is conducting activities in several directions, such as studying the healing properties of plants that are common in Uzbekistan.
In the academic year 2020-2021, the head of the department Kholmurodova D. Q successfully defended her doctoral dissertation (DSc). In 2020, the head of the department of medical chemistry, Ph.D. (DSc) Kholmurodova D.Q., was appointed by the rector of the institute. He was awarded with a 3rd degree diploma in the category of "Best Researcher of the Year".In 2021, the director of the Department of Medical Chemistry, Ph.D. (DSc), Dilafroz Kholmurodova won the nomination "The best pedagogue who uses innovation and information technologies" in the Republican selection of the "Higher Institution of Higher Education" and was solemnly awarded an honorary diploma by the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abduqadir Tashkulov.

In 2022, Kiyamova Dilfuza Sharifovna (PhD) received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in technical sciences.In addition, work is being carried out on the grant "Fullerene adducts with antioxidant amino acids and peptides for the treatment of ischemic brain damage" projects with the Department of Chemistry of the 1st St. Petersburg State Medical University.
In the last 3 years, the staff of the department published several scientific works, including 3 monographs, 5 EVM, more than 100 articles were published in leading republican and international journals, SKOPUS.
In the 2022-2023 academic year, the head of the department is Kholmurodova.D.K. Received the scientific title of professor approved by SАС. Professor Kholmurodova.D.K. 2 PhD theses were defended this academic year under his leadership.
