Practical training of clinical residents has been established in the veterinary laboratory of the SamSMU

  On February 4, in the simulation center of the veterinary laboratory of the Samarkand State Medical University, clinical residents of the Department of Surgery, Endoscopy and Anesthesiology-Resuscitation of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education, as well as the Department of Surgical Diseases of the Faculty of Pediatrics, successfully performed laparoscopic operations on laboratory animals (rabbits).

  The purpose of this training workshop is to improve the practical skills of clinical residents in the field of minimally invasive surgery, master modern laparoscopic technologies, and develop manual skills necessary for performing endoscopic interventions.

  During the practical classes, the main stages of laparoscopic operations were demonstrated, including the technique of placing trocars, manipulating instruments in a limited operating space, and laparoscopic resection of abdominal organs.

  The use of animals in the educational process allows not only to practice the technique of surgical intervention, but also to better understand the topographic and anatomical features of organs, will contribute to improving the quality of surgical care for patients. This form of training meets modern requirements for training specialists and plays an important role in improving the professional competencies of future surgeons.
