The international scientific-practical conference "Prevention and treatment of rickets and anemia: from the past to the future" at SamSMU

  On September 30 this year, the international scientific and practical conference "Prevention and treatment of rickets and anemia: from the past to the future" was held at Samarkand State Medical University.

  The conference was opened by the opening speech of the university rector, professor Jasur Rizayev. He noted that this conference is important in the prevention, treatment and treatment of childhood anemia and rickets, which are relevant today in most countries of the world, as well as in the exchange of scientific innovations and the further integration of medicine and education.

  Speaking at the conference, the head of the health department of the Samarkand region Sukhrob Zainiev and the honorary consul of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Uzbekistan Xyugo Minderxud emphasized that the conference being organized is of great importance not only for the region, but also for the healthcare system of the entire republic and that this comprehensive event will create the basis for the further development of international relations. The conference featured reports on the topics of "Psychological support for children with iron deficiency and anemia", "Long-term cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Netherlands", "New methods for preventing hypovitaminosis D" and a number of other pressing issues.

  Also, within the framework of the conference, a meeting was organized between the rector of the Samarkand State Medical University, Professor Jasur Rizayev, and Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Amsterdam, Professor Robert Pereira, where several promising cooperation projects in the field were discussed.

  This conference, organized by the Samarkand State Medical University jointly with the East European Community for Children's Medical Care, marks a new stage in strengthening the health of children in our country, enhancing the prevention and treatment of rickets and anemia, and introducing the latest scientific achievements into medical education.
