Close cooperation relations have been established between Samarkand State Medical University and Xinjiang Medical University (China), a number of joint projects, joint educational programs and academic exchanges are being implemented to this day.

  On September 20 of the current year Samarkand State Medical University was visited by a delegation consisting of the Rector of Xinjiang State Medical University, Professor Xaji Akber Aisa, Academician Han Demin and Zhao Jiangyu.

  The guests were welcomed by the Rector of Samarkand State Medical University, Prof. Jasur Rizaev. Within the framework of the visit, negotiations on mutual cooperation were held, joint work done and results achieved were analyzed. Proposals for further expansion of cooperation and a number of promising projects were discussed at the meeting, and a roadmap for further cooperation was defined.

  During the talks, the sides agreed to open a branch of the Center of Chinese Traditional Medicine on the basis of the Center of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation of Samarkand State Medical University, as well as to cooperate with Xinjiang International Medical Center in educational, scientific and practical medicine.
