On September 15, “Tomato Festival” (“Tomato Sayli”) was held for the first time in Bulungur district of Samarkand region. The holiday was attended by enterprises engaged in cultivation, production and processing of tomatoes and other crops in the region, as well as representatives of universities of the region. In particular, representatives of Samarkand State Medical University took part in the event and spoke about the useful properties of tomatoes, their positive impact on the human body, the importance of tomatoes as a preventive product to prevent various diseases.
In the “Tomato Festival” was widely presented products grown in the region, different varieties of tomatoes and other vegetable products, the peculiarities of their care, price and uniqueness. There was also organized an exhibition of finished products of processing enterprises of the region.
The festival continued in a festive atmosphere with the participation of artists invited from the capital.
