Samarkand State Medical University has established strong cooperation with S. Asfendiyarov National Medical University of Kazakhstan, with which many joint projects and scientific exchanges are realized.

  On June 30 of the current year the delegation of S. Asfendiyarov KazNMU visited Samarkand State Medical University. The guests were welcomed by Zafar Aminov, pro-rector for international relations of SamSMU, and Nargiza Yarmukhamedova, pro-rector for academic work. During the meeting information about the two universities was exchanged and areas of cooperation were discussed.

  As a result of the meeting, a memorandum reflecting bilateral cooperation was signed. According to the memorandum, an agreement was reached on further strengthening of cooperation relations, implementation of joint educational programs, organization of joint forums and scientific-practical conferences, master classes and lectures for students, academic exchange of teachers and students.
