Master classes on surgical treatment of neuralgia were held at the Neurosurgery Department of Samarkand State Medical University Multidisciplinary Clinic

  On May 5, 2024, at the Department of Neurosurgery and Department of Multidisciplinary Clinic of Samarkand State Medical University, with the participation of Professor Edip Gonullu, Department of Algology, Bakirchai University Clinic, Izmir, Turkey, "Trigeminal Neuralgia" in three patients was treated with mini-invasive radiofrequency ablation of Gasser's nodes. operations were successfully completed. All of these patients have been suffering from neuralgic pains for many years due to chronic neuritis of the trigeminal nerves, which has worsened their quality of life. After the operations, positive results were noted in all patients, and the patients got rid of the pain they suffered for many years.

  The clinic is equipped with sufficient equipment for operations, and based on the department's plans to cooperate with leading specialists in Izmir, these operations were organized as master classes. Young assistants, clinical residents, undergraduate students of the Departments of Neurosurgery and Reanimatology-Anesthesiology actively participated in the skill classes. Algology is an actively developing field of medicine as a new direction and studies all types of pain in the body, applies conservative and surgical treatment methods. The Department of Neurosurgery of Samarkand State Medical University is planning to develop this field, train specialists in this field, and start surgical treatment of pain syndromes in a mini-invasive way.
