On October 9, an event dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the university, accompanied by the jubilee opening of the new academic year was held in the Silesian Medical University.  The ceremony was also attended by the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.

  Rector of Samarkand State Medical University Jasur Rizayev also took part in the event as an honorary professor.  Speaking at the opening ceremony, Zhasur Rizayev sincerely congratulated all the participants on the new academic year and handed our national souvenir to the Medical University of Silesia as a sign of friendship.

  The President congratulated the students on their choice of higher education institution and noted that "Medicine is the noblest of all sciences".

  Participation of SamSMU Rector, Prof. Jasur Rizayev in the opening ceremony is a landmark in raising cooperation among Polish medical universities and SamSMU to a new level.
