On August 28, 2023, Samarkand State Medical University was visited by a delegation led by Mr. Sing Kai Lo, Professor of Social Studies Department. Mr. Sing Kai Lo is also the Assistant Vice President for International Cooperation, Director of the Center for Analytical and Evaluation Research and the Center for Special Educational Needs and Inclusive Education.
The guests were received by prof. Zhasur Rizaev, Rector of Samarkand State Medical University. The meeting was also attended by the University's Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Zafar Aminov.
In the course of negotiations the prospects of cooperation with Education University of Hong Kong were discussed, in particular, 6 young teachers of SamSMU in September will go to Education University of Hong Kong to conduct their scientific research.
Also, Prof. Sing Kai Lo gave a lecture on "Development of research and publication skills" for teachers and young researchers of the University. The lecture broadly covered the issues of publishing research articles in prestigious journals and increasing the Hirsch index. The speaker gave detailed answers to all questions asked by the participants.
