On 7 August this year in Samarkand State Medical University the "International Summer School" of students of medical universities started its work.
More than 50 students from 16 medical universities of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Russia, including Tashkent Medical Academy, Tashkent Paediatric Medical Institute, Tashkent State Dental Institute, Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute, Urgench branch of TMA, Termez branch of TMA, Bukhara State Medical Institute, EMU, AKFA University, Andijan State Medical Institute, Privolzhsky State Medical University, "Sechenov University", UKMA University, S.D.Asfandiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, Abu Ali ibn Sino Tajik State Medical University took part in The International Summer School.
At the opening ceremony of the First International Summer School, the Rector of SamSMU Zhasur Rizaev, Rector of West Kazakhstan Medical University named after Marat Ospanov Professor Aset Kaliev, Rector's Advisor Talgat Nurgozhin, Chief Doctor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic of Dental Faculty of Mara Technological University Professor Mazlee Azmeel and other guests welcomed the participants and wished them good luck, especially emphasising that the school would positively influence the potential of students and mutual cooperation between educational institutions.
Thus, it is planned to visit historical monuments of Samarkand, lessons and master-classes of leading professors, sports and intellectual games within the framework of the school.
The International Summer School for Medical Students will be held from 7 to 12 August this year.
