On May 12, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Committee of Family and Women, the administration of the Samarkand Region under the motto "Scientist Woman - Mirror of Society" hosted the Women's Festival "Woman of the XXI Century." The event was attended by activists of women's committees, women scientists of higher educational institutions of the Samarkand region. Representatives of Samarkand State Medical University also took an active part in the festival.

  Speakers at the festival spoke in detail about the Third Renaissance in the republic, opportunities for women scientists created in the country, discussed issues of increasing women's activity in science, expressing attitudes towards women in holy books, mechanisms for preventing violence against women and girls.

  The festival also hosted a podium of national costumes, a concert program and the Velo Lady competition among the participants of the women's forum.
