The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, together with the Ministry of Culture, the Agency for Youth Affairs and the Youth Union, initiated the "Student Theater Studios" competition between higher educational institutions of the republic.

  On April 13, the 3rd regional stage of the competition was held at the Khorezm Regional Music and Drama Theater. The competition was attended by theater student troupes from Navoi State Pedagogical Institute, Nukus Mining Institute and Samarkand State Medical University. The student troupe of the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage "Silk Road" also took part in the competition as a guest team.

  According to the results of the competition, the drama "Lavina" by Tunzhar Zhuzhan in the production of the SamSMU team "Followers of Abu Ali ibn Sina" by the decision of the jury was awarded 1st place and won a ticket to the republican stage of the competition.
