On 28 February, Samarkand State Medical University was visited by the delegation headed by Aušra Dapkevičienė, International Relations and Education Centre Coordinator and Eugenia Razgukina Centre Psychologist at Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (Republic of Lithuania).
In the course of fruitful negotiations with the participation of Samarkand State Medical University Rector Zh.Rizayev and Vice Rector for International Affairs Zafar Aminov, presentations on the activities of both institutions of higher education as well as exchange of information on issues of bilateral cooperation of mutual interest were made. Thus, an agreement has been reached between Samarkand State Medical University and Lithuanian University of Health Sciences to sign a memorandum of joint grants, to implement scientific works of doctoral candidates and young scientists, to carry out academic mobility internships and to organize summer student camps.
During the visit to the new building of the university guests also familiarized themselves with teaching laboratories, practical rooms, information and resource centre, equipped with the latest modern medical equipment and highly appreciated the activities of the university.
