Sport events were held for foreign students of International Education Faculty at the student dormitory No. 2 of Samarkand State Medical University. The event was organized by the Faculty of Medical Pedagogy, Department of Internal Diseases No.3 and the Department of Physical Education.

  At the opening ceremony, vice-rector for youth and spirituality E.S.Tangirov underlined that promotion of healthy lifestyle and creation of conditions for youth sports is one of the priorities of state policy in the republic and the university, wished all the participants good luck in their forthcoming competitions and success in their studies.

  Thus, students demonstrated their badminton, chess and table tennis skills at the organised tournament. There was also a show-contest for the best room in the dormitory. All the winners and the most active participants were awarded diplomas and certificates of appreciation.

  In honour of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, an evening plov was served to all the dormitory residents.
