On April 8, 2022, the Department of Medical Chemistry of Samarkand State Medical University in cooperation with the Union of Writers held a meeting "Book is the way to the future" in the secondary school № 11 of Kushrabad district of the region. The meeting was attended by professors and lecturers of the department, members of the Samarkand Writers' Union - the author of "I Love You, Life", "Caravan of Light", "Many Small Worlds" by Naeem Nur and Yusuf Akhmedov.

  Speakers at the meeting talked about the role and importance of reading in creating educated, courageous and thoughtful young people and noted that books are their main friend and guide on the way to knowledge. They also underlined that the state pays a lot of attention to inculcating a culture of reading. It was noted that recently the winners of Young Reader contest were awarded with a Spark automobile and money, which shows once again that in our country the main attention is paid to education.

  There is no doubt that such initiatives by Samarkand State Medical University to organise meetings with students in remote areas of the province are becoming a real motivation for young people to find their way in life.
