The Central Park named after Ali-Shir Nava'i in Samarkand was filled with representatives of government and public organizations, professors, writers, poets, students and pupils of schools from the early morning.
An event dedicated to the 581st birthday anniversary of the great thinker was held at the foot of Ali-Shir Nava'i statue in the center of the park. It was devoted to the life of the great ancestor, his rich cultural heritage and his role in the education of modern youth. It was noted that works of Ali-Shir Nava'i have become invaluable spiritual heritage for the people all over the world. The event was also attended by the staff of Samarkand State Medical Institute.
