Turgunpulat Daminov was born on April 25, 1941 in Tashkent. Daminov Turgunpulat Abidovich was born on April 25, 1941 in Tashkent.In 1964 he graduated from Tashkent State Medical Institute (now Tashkent Medical Academy). In 1969 he defended his candidate thesis for a doctor's degree (PhD), then in 1986 - for a degree of DSc. In 2000 he was elected an active member of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

  T.A.Daminov started his career in 1969 as an assistant at the Tashkent State Medical Institute. He worked as an assistant professor, head of the department at this institution. Later he continued his fruitful activity as director of Research Institute of Pediatrics, Rector of the First Tashkent State Medical Institute, Head of Department of Infectious Diseases and Pediatrics at Tashkent Medical Academy, and Professor of this department.

  Turgunpulat Abidovich made a worthy contribution to the development of healthcare in our country, the research of current issues of medical science and the training of highly skilled scientific and pedagogical staff.

  Academician T.A.Daminov wrote more than 500 scientific articles, about 20 books and monographs, and more than 40 methodological recommendations and manuals on theoretical and practical medical issues.

  In particular, he created his own scientific school to form and enrich such important areas of medicine as pediatrics and infectious diseases.

  Under the direct supervision of the scientist, dozens of candidates and doctors of science were trained.

  The services of Academician T.A. Daminov in the development of science in our country are highly appreciated by the state. He was awarded the orders "El-yurt hurmati" ("Respected by the people and the Fatherland") and "Doʻstlik" ("Friendship").

  The staff of Samarkand State Medical Institute expresses its deep condolences to the relatives and friends of the famous scientist, a kind teacher and qualified physician Turgunpulat Abidovich Daminov.
