​Do you want to study at a summer school in Latvia?

  For the academic year 2025-2026, the Embassy of Latvia in Tashkent provides students and faculty of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the opportunity to study at Latvian higher educational institutions and participate in summer schools.  

  Applications for participation in summer school programs are accepted within the framework of the Latvian State Scholarship program of the Government of Latvia. Summer schools are usually held during the summer months in different cities of Latvia.

  Summer schools focus on a variety of subjects, subjects, and fields, and candidates can choose the school that suits them.

  Note: Some summer schools are for students only, and some are also for university staff (teachers and researchers). In 2025, grants are offered for a total of 6 summer schools.   Summer schools are conducted in English.

  Who is the grant for?

For students, researchers and university staff

  Grant stakeholders:

1,000 euros will be allocated for participants who have won the Latvian State Scholarship. These funds are transferred directly to the summer school organizer (not transferred to the participant) to cover the costs of attending the summer school (fees for participation, accommodation, meals, lectures, excursions, seminars, cultural events, etc.). If the Summer School is held online, this amount is used to cover participation fees and online tuition.

Participants must pay for a visa and a trip to Latvia for Summer School themselves.

Also, certificates are awarded to participants at the end of the summer school.

P.S. You can also attend the summer school without a scholarship (at your own expense).

  To apply for this scholarship program, the candidate must meet the following requirements:

* The candidate must be a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral student, or an employee of a higher education institution (teacher or researcher).

• The candidate must know English.

* The candidate must be a citizen of one of the countries in which the scholarship is intended to be awarded (Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are also located within this country).

  Admission process:

Applications are accepted until April 1, 2025. To apply, select your desired summer school from the list here. The application is submitted in the order specified for this summer school. Applications are submitted online to the organizers of the summer school directly through the school's website. The results will also be announced by the organizers of the program.
