Surgical Dentistry and Dental Implants Department was founded with the Decree of the LAW OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN No. UP-637 of September 23, 2020 ON EDUCATION and ON THE PLANNED DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY OF NEW UZBEKISTAN 2022-2026 No. PF-60 dated January 28, 2022, in order to ensure the execution of decrees, to train highly qualified personnel in higher educational institutions in the specialties of undergraduate, graduate and clinical residency, in accordance with the decision of the Academic Council No. 11 of the Samarkand State Medical Institute on June 30, 2021 , as a result of the division of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, SURGICAL DENTISTRY AND DENTAL IMPLANTS department was created. PhD Khazratov Alisher Isamiddinovich was appointed head of the department.

  Khazratov Alisher Isomiddinovich was born in 1992 in the Samarkand region Payarik district. In 2016 he graduated dtntal faculty of the Samarkand State Medical Institute. 2016 - 2019 - Master of the Tashkent State Dental Institute with a degree in maxillofacial surgery, and in 2021 under the guidance of Professor Zh.A. Rizaev "Morphofunctional state of the oral cavity in patients with colon cancer (clinical and experimental study)" defended his scientific work.

  Our department is located at Samarkand city, Mahmud Koshgari street, 90. We also have our own branches in the Pediatric Surgery Clinic of the Samarkand State Medical University and the private dental practice "Doctor Ilkhom".

    The department was refurbished and on May 28, 2022 a solemn opening ceremony was held. At the opening ceremony, the rector of our university, Professor Zh.A. Rizaev, delivered a speech. Moreover, Professor Zh.A.Rizaev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor N.A.Yarmukhammedova, Chairman of the Trade Union, Professor Ya.N.Allayarov, and Dean of the Dental Faculty , Associate Professor A.A.Akhmedov, held the opening.

  Samarkand State Medical University, February 25-26, 2022 at the international scientific and practical conference "INNOVATIVE APPROACHES AND PERSPECTIVES OF MODERN DENTISTRY AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY", dedicated to the memory of Professor S.E. Kubaev, the department of "SURGICAL DENTISTRY AND DENTAL IMPLANTS" was awarded the honorary name of Professor S.E. Kubaev.
