On February 14, 2025, leading specialists from India, Dr. Pritpal Singh and Dr. Jasdeep Singh Bedi, arrived at Samarkand State Medical University.

  During the visit, the guests visited the Department of Surgical Diseases of the Faculty of Pediatrics of SamSMU, as well as the railway clinic of JSC Uzbekistan Railways. Indian specialists got acquainted with the activities of the department and conducted free medical examinations for patients.

  In addition, with the participation of Indian doctors, high-tech surgical operations were performed, including "laparoscopic physiological fundoplication using the Toupet method for hernia of the esophageal opening of the diaphragm."

  As part of the visit, it is also planned to hold master classes, as well as sign a memorandum of cooperation between the Kior Healthcare clinic, the Department of Surgical Diseases of the Faculty of Pediatrics of SamSMU and the railway clinic of the Samarkand station.
