On October 21-22, 2024, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Samarkand State Medical University, D.M.S., ass.prof. N.A.Yarmukhamedova took part in the International Forum “Shenzhen theme on internationalization of medical education and research” among the countries of Central Asia (Shenzhen, China). The International Forum brought together leading experts and scientists in the field of medicine from five Central Asian countries. This platform discussed the achievements, problems and opportunities in the field of medical education.

  As part of the Forum, the participants got acquainted with Shenzhen University and held a number of meetings where they discussed the possibilities of further cooperation. In particular, on October 21, a meeting was held with Professor Xingzhi Xu, during which the formation of conditions for the use of modern organizational technologies in the provision of medical care to patients with socially significant diseases was discussed. The participants also visited the laboratories and factory organizations of the university.

  Representative of Samarkand State Medical University, Doctor of Medical Sciences N.A. Yarmukhamedova on October 22 gave a presentation on “Transformation of the Higher Medical Education System in the Republic of Uzbekistan: The Experience of Samarkand State Medical University.” The presentation aroused great interest among the forum participants.

  Participation in the international Forum and the established cooperation will allow us to introduce innovations in the training of a new generation of highly qualified specialists and introduce innovations and the latest developments in the field of higher medical education.
