Samarkand State Medical University has established cooperation relations with Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin of the Russian Federation, mutual academic exchanges are being carried out.

  On September 5 of this year, representatives of Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin visited Samarkand State Medical University. The guests were welcomed by Nargiza Yarmukhamedova, vice-rector for educational affairs of SamSMU, and Zafar Aminovlar, vice-rector for international cooperation of the university. During the meeting, information about the two universities was exchanged, and further strengthening of cooperation relations was discussed. In particular, they discussed organizing academic exchanges of students and professors, establishing mutual cooperation in scientific and practical projects.

  Also, within the framework of the visit, the representatives of Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin got to know the conditions created at Samarkand State Medical University, the educational and laboratory rooms, and the educational system. At the end, they visited the university history museum and had the opportunity to get interesting information about the history of Samarkand State Medical University.
