On May 23, Samarkand State Medical University held a joint meeting with delegations of the I. Kant Baltic Federal University (RF) and Education University of Hong Kong. Negotiations were held at the representative office of the Baltic Federal University in SSMU.
The main purpose of the visit was to discuss cooperation between universities and create a tripartite educational consortium. The negotiations were attended by representatives of delegations headed by the rector of SSMU Professor Jasur Rizayev, the rector of BFU Professor Alexander Fedorov, President of Education University of Hong Kong Professor Stephen Cheung.
During the meeting, the directions of cooperation between SSMU, BFU and Education University of Hong Kong were discussed, including the creation of a tripartite educational consortium. In particular, they discussed with BFU - coordinating the joint educational program in the direction of "Bioengineering and Biotechnology" and the implementation of the academic mobility program for teachers in the academic year 2023-2024, with Education University of Hong Kong - implementing academic mobility programs between universities, joint scientific projects, including scientific publications.
During the visit, the delegations of BFU and Education University of Hong Kong also got acquainted with the organization of the educational process and the Museum of History of SSMU.
