Currently, a delegation of the Ministry of Health headed by Minister Amrillo Inoyatov is on an official visit to the United States of America.
During the visit, negotiations are held on the cooperation of medical universities of the republic with a number of American educational institutions.
As part of the official visit, the rector of SamSMU prof. Jasur Rizaev held talks with the leadership of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) on cooperation in the field of higher medical education, training paramedics and reforming training programs for nurses.
Founded in 1824 in Charleston, the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is the oldest medical school in the southern United States, as well as the state's only integrated academic health care system with the unique task of serving the state through education, research, and patient care. MUSC has over 3,000 students and 850 residents and fellows each year at six colleges: Dental Medicine, Graduate School, Medical Professions, Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy. In 2022, the eighth consecutive year, US News & World Report named MUSC Health the No. 1 hospital in South Carolina.
