On February 14, the Samarkand State Medical University, under the motto "Love your motherland like Babur", held a gala meeting in honor of the 540th anniversary of the great poet and statesman Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.

  The event was attended by the Chairman of Samarkand Regional Council of the party "Milliy Tiklanish" A. Akbarov, Advisor to the Rector on Women Affairs G. Hudaiberdiyeva, Dean of the Faculty of Medical Pedagogy F. Daminov, employees of the Department of Spirituality and Education, teachers of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Sciences, tutors and students.

  During the event, students recited poems, rubai and ghazals from the works of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur. Separately, they spoke about Babur's contribution to science and provided information about his life and work. The pictures of Babur Mirza and his contemporaries, skillfully performed by the students, made a big impression on all participants of the meeting.

  The participants of the meeting made a general conclusion that Babur has remained in the memory of generations as a great example of devotion and love for the homeland and loyalty to their ideals.
