Sport is an important factor in ensuring a person's physical and mental health. In order to widely promote healthy lifestyles and sports among young people, Samarkand State Medical University has launched the "Dean's Cup" mini-football competition.

  The mini-football competition under the slogan "We are against drug addiction" was organised under the leadership of Eldor Tangirov, Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual Outreach, and Sanjar Karabayev, Dean of the Faculty of Pediatrics. Deputy Deans, supervisors and students took part in the competition, totalling 16 teams.

The competition will run until 15 February this year.
