Samarkand State Medical University received a delegation of professors Daniel Mueller and Douglas Whitman from Webster University (USA) on 6th of February. The delegation was met by Rector of Samarkand State Medical University Zhasur Rizaev, SamSMU Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Nargiza Yarmukhamedova and Vice Rector for International Relations Zafar Aminov.

  Thus, during the meeting the sides exchanged views on organizing educational, scientific and innovative processes and improving the quality of education at the university. In particular, cooperation between the universities in organizing joint programs in the directions of "Higher nursing", "Healthcare management" and "Healthcare economics" was discussed. At the end of the meeting Rector Zasur Rizaev handed memorable gifts with the university logo to the American guests.

  At the new building of the university the guests state-of-the-art laboratories with modern equipment, classrooms for practical training, information and resource centre and museum reflecting the history of the university were also introduced to guests at the new building of university. Members of the American delegation highly rated opportunities to receive higher professional medical education.
