The Samarkand State Medical University organized a seminar for students on "Preventing and combating trafficking in human beings". The event was attended by representatives of the Department of Internal Affairs, public organisations, staff of the dean's offices of the faculties of pharmacy and medical prevention and students.
The seminar was opened by G.I. Hudaiberdiyeva, Chair of the University Women's Advisory Council, who pointed out that human trafficking is one of the global problems in today's world, primarily affecting women and children.An official of the Samarkand provincial department of internal affairs T.N.Elboev, a lawyer of "Istikbolli avlod" NNO F.Y.Mukhammadiev, rector's adviser E.A.Aripov, inspector of prevention O.H.Eshmuradov urged everyone to be vigilant and told about the content of international and national legislation on human trafficking, measures to assist victims of human trafficking and forced labour.
The seminar was held in the format of an active and lively discussion, the participants received comprehensive answers to all their questions.
