From 24 November to 11 December, in order to promote and develop a healthy lifestyle among students, at the initiative of the Samarkand State Medical University Sports Club under the motto "Healthy Life - Great Future" sports competitions "Rector's Cup" were held.
Chess, chequers and arm-wrestling were contested by a total of 800 students from the university's faculties for the title of champion.
According to the results of the competition "1st place" went to students of the Faculty of Dentistry, "2nd place" went to students of the Medical Faculty No.1, "3rd place" was awarded to students of the Faculty of Pediatrics. Memorable gifts and a cup were presented to the winners and prize-winners by the rector of the university.
In addition, the chess and chequers winners will take part in the national stage of the Five Initiatives Olympiad, to be held from 14 to 17 December in Tashkent.
