On May 28, a new department of the Faculty of Dentistry, "Oral Surgery and Dental Implantology" of Samarkand State Medical University was opened. Students of senior courses of dental faculty and other faculties of the University are being trained in the department.

  At the solemn opening of the department, Rector of the University, Professor Zhasur Rizaev said that the priority of the administration of the university is to strengthen the material and technical base and to improve the quality of the educational process, creating decent conditions for teachers and students. Staff and students thanked the leadership of the institute for the conditions created.

  Major repairs allowed to turn the department into a modern educational and medical base. There are created 5 medical rooms, X-ray room, 7 classrooms, capacious lecture room. It should be emphasized that all the training and medical rooms are equipped with the latest medical equipment.
