On May 5-6, 2022 an International Scientific-Practical Conference "New Technologies in Radiation Diagnostics and Treatment" was held at Samarkand State Medical University. Heads and scientists from leading medical universities and research centers of USA, Germany, Japan, Austria, Bangladesh, Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan took part in the international conference.
The purpose of the international scientific forum was to discuss the impact of the latest technological developments in radiology and radiation therapy on the treatment of patients, the role of imaging in diagnosis and care of patients, as well as the implementation of new developments in clinical medicine.
At the opening ceremony of the international conference at the Regional Youth Center of Samarkand several guests spoke at the opening ceremony: Khurshid Ochilov - Deputy Khokim of Samarkand region on youth policy, social development and spiritual-educational work, Amrillo Inoyatov - First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Zhasur Rizaev - Rector of Samarkand State Medical University, Adkham Ikramov - Minister of sport development of Uzbekistan, Marat Khodjibekov - Professor of Tashkent Medical Academy, Chairman of Radiology Society of Uzbekistan, Rainer Rienmueller - Professor at Medical University of Graz (Vienna, Austria), Valery Krylov - Head of department of Radiosurgical treatment with open radionuclides at the Medical Radiological Scientific Center named after A.F. Tsyba (Obninsk, Russia), Rakhimzhanova Raushan Ibzhanovna - Professor, Honorary Head of department of radiology named after Academician Zh. Khamzabaev, Astana Medical University NSO, President of Kazakhstan Radiological Society, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan (Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan), Akram Fozilov - Professor of Center for Professional Qualification Development of Medical Workers (Tashkent, Uzbekistan), Gulnora Yusupalieva - DSc, Head of the Department of Medical Radiology, Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute (Tashkent, Uzbekistan); the participants discussed the latest trends in radiology and medical radiology, underlined its importance in the field of practical healthcare, and the role of maintaining international contacts between researchers and universities in different countries.
After plenary session the international conference continued at 5 sections, where more than 100 reports on new technologies in radiology diagnostics in clinical medicine, role of diagnostic radiology and radiotherapy in oncology, radiology diagnosis of trauma and emergency states, radiology diagnosis in related specialties, as well as the results of scientific activities of young scientists in the field of radiology and medical radiology were presented.
International Scientific and Practical Conference “New Technologies in Radiological Diagnostics and Treatment” held at Samarkand State Medical University will undoubtedly contribute to the development of radiation diagnostics and radiology in the republic and the region, further implementation of the latest innovative developments in clinical medicine, improving the quality of teaching fundamental and clinical disciplines and training of skilled medical personnel, as well as the development of international relations of medical universities and scientific centers of the republic.
