Today, April 30, spiritual and cultural meeting "National dress - face of the nation" was held in the new academic building of the Samarkand State Medical University with the initiative of the women's advisory council. The event was actively attended by activists of the Council of Women of faculties, female staff of departments and faculties, dean's offices staff, tutors and students of the university.

  At the opening ceremony Rector Zhasur Rizaev congratulated all participants with the forthcoming Holy Feast of Ramadan Hayit and noted that it is the duty of every conscientious citizen to cultivate our national values, traditions and national dress. Other speakers also noted that national dress is the face, a kind of countenance of the people, an expression of their true values, national traditions and customs.

  After the presentation of national costumes by the university students, the musical part of the event began. The songs and dances gave all the participants a real festive mood.
