In accordance with agreements on cooperation of Samarkand State Medical University with foreign institutions of higher education, currently programs of academic mobility of teachers and students are being actively realized.
From April 10 to April 21, 2022, Sh. Yusupov, the head of pediatric surgery department #1, DSc, and Sh. Khudaykulova, senior teacher of physics, biophysics and medical physics department, visited Bashkir State Medical University (Ufa, Russia) and Izhevsk State Medical Academy (Izhevsk, Russia) as part of academic exchange program.
Within the framework of academic mobility, issues on further expansion of partnership in academic mobility, joint programs and professional development of academic staff were discussed with the management of these medical universities.
Employees of SamSMU participated with reports at international scientific-practical conference “Morphofunctional processes in acute surgical pathology in children”. Report “Advantages of module education system for students in COVID-19 conditions by the example of Samarkand State Medical University” made by senior teacher Sh.N. Khudaykulova was highly appreciated by all participants of scientific forum and evoked great interest to the system of organization of education in Samarkand State Medical University.
Under the guidance of Professor of Physiology Department of Izhevsk State Medical Academy (Izhevsk, Russia) S.B. Egorkina, Senior Lecturer Sh.N. Khudaykulova carried out practical research on effect of rotating electric field in the tissue on corneas of experimental rats, change of their stress resistance, summarized previous work on the subject and discussed the forthcoming defense of scientific research.
Representatives of the university also held lectures and seminars on pediatric surgery and biophysics for students of medical and pediatric faculties of the Izhevsk State Medical Academy (Izhevsk, Russia). The administration of the Izhevsk State Medical Academy (Izhevsk, Russia) awarded our employee with the appropriate certificates and gratitude for the classes and the visit.
On April 17-27, 2022, associate professor of Pediatric Surgery Department #2, F.Sh. Mavlyanov visited Saint-Petersburg State Medical University (Saint-Petersburg, Russia). He carried out practical classes for 5-year students of pediatric faculty of St. Petersburg State Medical University on the subject “Pediatric surgery”.
In the course of the visit, associate professor F. Sh. Mavlyanov took part in symposium organized on April 20, by Russian Association of Pediatric Surgeons and Saint Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University under the title “Atresia of Gastroesophagus” and on April 21-23 in XXVIII Russian Scientific Student Conference “Topical Questions of Pediatric Surgery, Anesthesiology and Resuscitation” devoted to 100th anniversary of Corresponding Member of Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Girey Bairov. According to the program of symposium “Atresia of the esophagus” F.Sh. Mavlyanov made a report “Assessment of nutritious status in newborn infants with esophageal atresia” and participated in the workshop of chief regional pediatric surgeons to discuss actual issues of pediatric surgery. He also had a meeting with the Rector of St. Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University Professor D.O. Ivanov.
During the visits, the SamSMU staff reached agreements with their foreign colleagues on joint writing and publication of educational-methodical literature, conducting classes and master classes, organization of online lectures for scientific candidates and doctoral residents, and training of scientific-pedagogical personnel on the basis of joint programs of doctoral studies.
