The meeting was opened by the Head of the Department of Youth, Spirituality and Enlightenment of Samarkand State Medical Institute S. Halimov. The purpose of the spiritual and educational event “The importance of the scientific heritage of Ibn Sina (Avicenna) in modern medicine” conducted in cooperation with the International Scientific Research Center of Imam Bukhari under the Cabinet of Ministers and Surkhandarya regional branch of “Ibn Sina” Foundation is to research and popularize the rich heritage of our great thinkers and scientists, as well as their invaluable contribution to the world civilization and science. During the meeting, information on the work carried out in this direction was presented separately.

  Speaking at the event, Tokhir Evadullayev, director of the Imam Bukhari International Research Center, noted that the great scholar Ibn Sino earned the title of encyclopedist in the history of world science and was one of the greatest scientists in the world. The meeting was also attended by Bayozkhon Makhmudov, senior researcher at the Imam Bukhari International Research Center, and Khamida Abdumajidova, senior lecturer at the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities at Samarkand State Medical Institute.

  At the end of the meeting, the participants and organizers of the event agreed on the conduction of spiritual-educational activities among young people.
