Science club

  The department is a training school for the forensic medical service of the region and neighboring provinces through clinical residency and Master's degree. The student scientific society actively conducts its activities at the department. In recent years, the members of the circle have published more than 40 articles in various collections, thematic conferences and seminars with their participation are regularly held. Two of the members of the circle became winners of the republican Scientific Olympiad in forensic medicine. It is among the activists of the circle that candidates for clinical residency, master's degree, postgraduate studies, and then for the position of associate professor of the department are selected. Since July 2022, the Department of Forensic Medicine has been headed by Associate Professor Munis Zakirovich Yakubov

  Ikramova Parvina, a student of the pediatric faculty of SamSMU, took 2nd place in the republican Olympiad in Criminology (2020).) A student of the Faculty of Medicine and Pedagogy of SamSMU, Zarina Kabilova, took 1st place in the republican Olympiad in criminology (2019).   

  On the basis of the department, the republican seminar of forensic experts on the study of physical evidence (1986), the All-Union Meeting of Chief Forensic Experts and the plenum of the Scientific Council on Forensic Medicine of the former Union Academy of Medical Sciences (October 1988), the Republican scientific and practical conference "Actual problems of forensic medicine. and the medical law " (September 17-18, 2004).

  The staff of the department has spoken at many prestigious congresses, international, republican conferences. Currently, the staff of the department preserve and maintain the traditions of their outstanding scientists and mentors, continue to introduce scientific achievements into judicial practice, train qualified personnel, make a huge contribution to the development of problematic topics of forensic medicine and medical law.

   The scientific potential is 83%. Most of the teaching staff at this department started their activities as trainee teachers or studied for a master's degree and are currently research associates.

  Teachers-teachers of the department, together with educational activities, carry out expert practice on a permanent or shift basis. The skills and experience gained in practice are demonstrated and taught to students in the learning process.
