12 employees work at the Department of Internal Diseases of the Medical Faculty No. 1. All employees of the department take an active part in the research work of the department and the university. Currently, the department is engaged in scientific activities - 1 doctoral student (Ibrahimov H.I.) and 2 independent applicants (Avazova T.A., Akhmedova G.I.)

    The staff of the department increase their knowledge and potential by conducting regular scientific work.

    Over the past 5 years, the staff of the department has published more than 300 scientific papers, including 5 textbooks, 3 monographs, more than 100 articles in leading domestic and foreign journals. In addition, more than 15 teaching aids and methodological recommendations have been published. The textbook, teaching manual and recommendations published by the staff of the department are used as additional literature for students of medical universities.

    The staff of the department actively participates in many national and foreign meetings, webinars and conferences with reports and abstracts.

    The research work of the department is carried out on the education of the younger generation in the spirit of independence, the formation of the legal culture of youth, philosophical problems of modern medical science, various aspects of the history of the statehood of Uzbekistan.

    The department attaches great importance to the scientific activities of not only employees, but also students. Under the guidance of the staff of the department, students write articles in national and international journals, participate in prestigious conferences and meetings. Talented students of the department have repeatedly participated in scientific Olympiads of the Republic of Uzbekistan and occupied places of honor. Among them, Ahmedov Sardorbek, Fazliddinov Janobiddin, Yahshiev Bobosher, Yuldasheva Dildora took prizes at the Republican Olympic Games and join the ranks of talented students of SamSMU.

    Under the guidance of the Rector of the Samarkand State Medical University and the head of the department, the staff of the department organized scientific and practical conferences, seminars, webinars, open classes and round tables. In addition, lectures, open classes and round tables are held not only for students of medical universities, but also for students of medical colleges and high schools.
