In the department, students of the 1st and 4th year of pediatrics, 1st year of treatment work study on the basis of the program of "Children's surgery" and "Introduction to the medical profession".
Training of highly qualified specialists in the direction of master's degree and clinical residency has been started in the department.

The following technical supplies are available during training:
A telecommunication system has been established, and video films, presentations, multimedia programs, lectures and practical exercises on the subject are shown using televisions connected to the central computer. There is a single bank of scanned images that are designed for unified teaching based on the curriculum and correspond to all the lessons of the curriculum.
Department library:
• The library has more than 50 educational literature in English, Uzbek and Russian languages.
• The electronic library includes textbooks, atlases, training manuals, teaching-methodical manuals, etc.
In the process of mastering the subject, students will practically strengthen their knowledge in the hospital's dressing room, operating room and diagnostic departments. In addition, 4-year students are on night duty 2 times.
