Samarkand hosted the international scientific-practical conference "Innovative approaches in clinical neurology and neurorehabilitation"

  On November 28-29, the Samarkand State Medical University, together with the Center for Advanced Medical Personnel of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, hosted the international scientific-practical conference "Innovative approaches in clinical neurology and neurorehabilitation", aimed at discussing current issues in fundamental, clinical and applied neurology, neurorehabilitation and neurosurgery. 

  The international conference was attended by more than 400 representatives of the field from leading higher medical educational institutions and scientific and practical centers of Spain, Russia, Turkey, the USA, France, Singapore, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Speaking at the grand opening of the conference, the rector of SamSMU, professor Jasur Rizaev, the director of the Center for Advanced Training of Medical Workers of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan Khabibulla Akilov, the chairman of the Association of Neurologists of Uzbekistan, the head of the Department of Neurology of the Center for Professional Development of Employees Bakhtiyor Gafurov emphasized the importance of the conference in discussing current issues of neurology and neurorehabilitation and sharing positive experiences, and also wished good luck to all its participants. 

  After the plenary session, the conference continued its work in sectional areas, where reports and speeches were heard on the topics of "Differentiated approaches to the treatment of pain syndromes in neurological practice", "Bridges between neurological gaps in cerebrovascular pathologies", "Brain-computer interfaces for neurorehabilitation", "Modern trends in neurorehabilitation", "Basic rehabilitation of patients who have suffered a stroke", "Innovations in the field of neurorehabilitation in France", "Surgical treatment of Parkinson's disease and other motor disorders of the central nervous system in Uzbekistan" and other relevant areas and detailed discussions were held on them.

  The scientific and practical conference held is of great importance in the further development of fundamental, clinical and applied neurology, neurorehabilitation and neurosurgery in our country, the introduction of best practices from world experience and the further development of international relations in the field of healthcare.
